AN offshore worker who made a racist remark towards a man has been fined £420.
Michael Logie (32) of Castle Heather Drive, Inverness, admitted the offence which occurred on December 23 last year in the cityâs Academy Street.
Inverness Sheriff Court heard Logie had been drinking and was waiting for a taxi.
The court heard he got into a âverbal exchangeâ with a Mr Ali and called him a âcamel jockeyâ, a derogatory remark for people of Middle Eastern origin.
