AN offshore worker who made a racist remark towards a man has been fined £420.
Michael Logie (32) of Castle Heather Drive, Inverness, admitted the offence which occurred on December 23 last year in the city’s Academy Street.
Inverness Sheriff Court heard Logie had been drinking and was waiting for a taxi.
The court heard he got into a “verbal exchange” with a Mr Ali and called him a “camel jockey”, a derogatory remark for people of Middle Eastern origin.
