Anchor well hold a lot more of those clouds and that will hold the temperatures down into the upper 40s and lower 50s. Done expect much change temperaturewise as we go through the day. It may even slide become a couple of degrees this afternoon especially along the coastline. The wind direction has changed last few days either out of the southwest or west this morning its out of the north and turning more out of the northeast as we go through late morning into early afternoon and ocean breeze will hold those temperatures down into the upper 40s and lower 50s. Theyre going to last a little bit longer. We have a couple more days with mild air. You can see behind me on the weather map were in the 50s in boston, the 40s in worcester. And the coolest spot is actually portsmouth right now on the map at 31 degrees. Up there in the Merrimack Valley, if youre thinking about what today will be like, you should warm up to as high as 50 degrees. Well have a lot of clouds around through the day. More of the same down along the south coast. Were keeping a lot of clouds in that forecast unfortunately as temperatures hold where they are right now. So 48 to about 53 degrees today. Those winds out of the north and east switching to the east about 510. Theyre associated with this backdoor cold front which is also why youre waking up to a lot of clouds. There this morning. There might even be a patch or two of drizzle but thats the extent of it. Snow is flying to our north up across far northern maine right now. The storm center well to the west here. Its going to spin up a lot of warm air out ahead of it. You can see the temperatures to our south and west, near 60 degrees, even 70 right now down in knoxville, tennessee. Thats the warmth that is surging in our direction so despite the clouds, temperatures come out of the 40s into the 50s once again this afternoon. 51 degrees by noontime. Looking for highs today in the mid 50s. Warmest here in southeastern massachusetts. A little bit cooler in Southern New Hampshire but the temperatures climb slowly throughout the day. Other than a patch or two of drizzle, just cloud cover through the evening commute. Looks like the rain comes in thereafter. It will rain hard for a time tonight.
