Bills filed in the Missouri House and Senate would bar state and local officials from enforcing federal “extreme risk” protective orders – sometimes referred to as red flag laws. The passage of the bill would not only protect liberty in Missouri; it could also hinder federal efforts to restrict the right to keep and bear arms.
The “Second Amendment Preservation Act” would ban state and local law enforcement officers from enforcing, attempting to enforce, or participating in the enforcement of any federal acts, executive orders, administrative orders, rules, regulations, statutes, or ordinances regarding firearms, firearm accessories, or ammunition that are not mirrored in state law.
Ohio Issue 2 legalizes the purchase, possession, and cultivation of marijuana by adults 21 and over. It also creates a tax and regulatory framework for commercial cultivation and retail marijuana sales.
