Letcher Reaves Bingham, Jr., 88, passed away peacefully on Friday, Dec. 3, 2021, from natural causes. He was born on March 8, 1933 in Knoxville, to Dr. L.R. and Sadie Somers Bingham and raised on Caswell Ave.

LOGAN Jump the Moon art studio had to move in February after falling behind on a lease.
The charity, which helps people with disabilities express themselves through art couldn t help as many people in 2020 due to the coronavirus pandemic. I tried to stay real positive, optimistic that something good would work out, Michael Bingham, owner said.
Now, something positive is coming out of the closure. It is a huge relief to see that we have a spot, and we have somebody who wants us to be a part of what they re doing, Bingham said.
It will take a couple of weeks for Jump the Moon to move into the new space, but Bingham said he s grateful to be helping people again.
McCallie Grad Hakim McMorris Finishes Third In PAC 12 Decathlon Monday, May 17, 2021

Former McCallie track and field standout, Hakim McMorris finished third at the PAC 12 Track & Field Championships this past weekend. Competing at Loker Stadium on the campus of the University of Southern California this past weekend, McMorris had an impressive showing. The 6’4”, 190 pound Cal-Berkeley sophomore won the 100, 400, 110 high hurdles, high jump and long jump during the two day, 10 event competition. According to McCallie track coach Mike Wood, only a disappointing showing in the pole vault prevented him from winning the overall event.
