We have been here the past several hours kind of taking all this devastation in. We just got to, within the past few minutes, to this apartment complex, which the roof is completely ripped off. You see the power of this tornado splintered these trees and we have talked to several of the residents here that described a horrifying scene. The National Weather service says winds were up to 140 miles per hour. The damage, the insulation ripped off of here. It was just horrifying, some of the residents were telling us what they went through last night. Lisa hessler, i spoke to you a few minutes ago. You road out the storm inside this apartment. What did it feel like .
his bail package is the same as in the nike case. the only exception is he has to refrain from contacting victim one is stormy daniels unless there is an attorney present. it s the only caveat in that case. now, let s talk about the second one, the nike case. that s happening in 90 minutes. correct? reporter: that s correct. at 3:30 today at a different courthouse, michael aven nate will be arraigned in the nike case. he is expected to be arraigned in a not guilty case there. there are two distinct fact patterns involving different victims. that s why we have these back-to-back arraignments. he was clarnlgd several weeks ago. now a formal indictment has been presented by a garage, he has to enter a plea. we expect him to plead not guilty and it to be another short proceeding. as you said, that relates to an
law? reporter: well, that s a great, great question. so, typically, you don t lose your law license until have you been convicted of a crime. his law license would be out of california in this particular case, he faces charges, 36 of them in an entirely separate federal case. presumably he could still practice law. on the other hand, it s going to be very difficult for anybody to hire him. some of the charges he is facing here. a judge would ask somebody. so if you hired michael aven nate today to represent you, a judge will ask that person, you do realize some of the things he s charged with, for things he represented to clients. a judge could allow him not to be an attorney or represent anybody in this intervening time period between today s arrangement and the actual trial date. so i think will be it will be very hard for him to practice law, which could obviously exacerbate some of his financial woes. tom, as always, thanks, so much for being there. we ll check in with you late
middle of back-to-back arraignments. he s the defendant this time. incredible. aven nate appeared in federal court in manhattan in the last hour on allegations he stole almost $300,000 bucks from daniels. later he will appear that he tried to extort 20 million from nike. aven nate denied all the accusations. tom winter is outside the courthouse. what happened in the stormy daniels days? then we can talk about the nike case. as expected and tweeted. michael avenatti pleaded and the whole proceedings lasted approximately 20 minutes. aven nate actually surrendered himself at 6:54. he came into court with a blue shirt and a silver blue tie appearing at the defense table. didn t say much. these proceedings as i mentioned are pretty short. they require there is a plea that s entered.
