LOWER MERION TOWNSHIP, PA The Lower Merion Township community is remembering the loss of a police officer eight years later.
On Feb. 11, 2013, Lower Merion Police Officer Sean Quinn was found deceased in South Philadelphia.
Quinn died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound and was found that morning unresponsive is his personal vehicle in FDR Park located on Pattison Avenue in South Philadelphia, according to Police Superintendent Michael McGrath.
Subscribe The Lower Merion Police Department wishes to express its heartfelt condolences to Officer Quinn s family and friends and asks that they be kept in your thoughts and prayers as we all try to come to terms with this tragic event, McGrath said in a statement issued that day in 2013.

KING OF PRUSSIA, Pennsylvania (WPVI) A couple of bandits made off with more than $18,000 in merchandise from the King of Prussia Mall parking lot last month, according to police.
Although parking lot thieves are nothing new, ones of this magnitude are, and the high-end heist is raising questions if there was adequate security.

WEST CHESTER, PA A man who provided management services to homeowners associations in three states has admitted he embezzled $1.8 million from his clients by making unauthorized transfers of money.
William C. Huyler III, 41, of East Marlborough Township, pleaded guilty to 53 felonies connected to approximately $1.8 million he misappropriated from eight homeowners associations in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and Delaware, according to the Chester County District Attorney s Office.
The affected homeowners associations were in East Goshen, Uwchlan, Upper Merion, and West Norriton townships in Pennsylvania, and in Marlton, NJ and Kent County, Del.
