Neunaber struck his mother repeatedly in the head with a steel bar. He says his mother was conscious during the first 8 to 10 strikes. He continued to strike her over forty more times, shattering her skull and killing her. Neunaber then tried to commit suicide. Neunaber pleaded guilty to seconddegree murder, and an additional count of willful injury. When hes sentenced, the judge could sentence neunaber to up to 60years in prison.
