This all comes on the same day that the antioch mayor is praising that Community Response team for helping people in crisis, while freeing up officers, this has been a godsend because this has helped alleviate the Police Department from certain. 911 calls antioch mayor Lamar Hernandez thorpe, marking a year since a crisis Response Team hit the streets to help those in mental distress, freeing up police for more urgent calls. The Angelo Quinto Community Response team handles about 500 calls a month. Its named after a man who died in Antioch Police custody. You need to turn your sights on the Delivery System if you want to control the health care costs. Theyre looking at alternative models for delivering health care. And one of the alternative models that has really grown is telehealth. About 7 of employers offered it five years ago. By 2017, 90 of ploirs will offer telehealth and by 2019 its pretty much universally offered by companies to their employees. So whats the value of telehealth . Telehealth is a much more convenient access point than a number of different venues. Emergency room cost 700 on average per visit. Urgent care costs 150 on average per visit. Physician office 100. Telehealth 40. Telehealth is not meant to be a replacement for primary care. Its meant to supplement primary care and give people access when they cant get afterhour coverage, twhen they have a long time to get an appointment or they di
