Audrie potts mother was afraid this was going to happen which is why she and her attorney held a News Conference yesterday to counter the opposition to the bill. If youre not familiar with her daughter, audrie, she was a 15yearold High School Student who was sexually assaulted and photographed. She committed suicide after those photos were circulated. Senator jim bell proposed audries law. This morning at the hearing, lawyers groups and at least two of the seven Assembly Members on the committee opposed the mandatory minimum, calling it ineffective, too arbitrary, saying that the juvenile Justice System should be focused less on multiple and more on rehabilitation.
