The Sit-In Movement Inc., which owns the International Civil Rights Center & Museum, officially purchased 2.2 acres and a building adjacent to the museum on Thursday.
"She was a true warrior, civil rights activist and pillar in the community," said Guilford County Board of Commissioners Vice Chairwoman Carlvena Foster.
