It was fun watching the bidding. Lot 1 – Alida shopping spree was offered as a draw with participants purchasing squares for $10. This draw was made Sunday with Brittany Dubuc being the winner. After all the items were paid for and picked up on April 13, the Alida Recreation Board had raised over $12,000, including cash donations. Being the very first time trying this kind of fundraiser there were glitches along the way but that will help make another one even better. Sincere sympathy is extended to the family of Margaret (Boody) Lemieux, who passed away on April 16, in her 97th year. She is was predeceased by her husband Joe Lemieux, parents Ed and Vi Hartley, brothers Bill and Bob, as well as Joe’s siblings and their spouses.
