These are the faces of 78 people jailed in April for crimes linked to Merseyside.
One judge had to deal with a monstrous husband who stabbed his wife 300 times, while another locked up a gunman who shot three people in one home.
Disturbing cases included a child rapist who targeted two teenage girls on Snapchat, a predatory maths teacher who exploited a vulnerable pupil, and a serial child rapist who made the lives of three young victims hell.
THE heartbroken mum of a man who was murdered after being struck to the head in a street told a court she feels lost, broken and empty without her son. Warren Glover, who was 33, was struck to the head by Aaron Stubbs in a heavy blow with a metal bar on the night of Saturday, June 13, 2020 on French Street at its junction with Thompson Street, Toll Bar. Liverpool Crown Court heard he was the victim of a revenge attack over abusive text messages he sent to ex-girlfriend, Melissa Stubbs and others in response to her making clear their relationship was over.
Melissa and Aaron Stubbs A GROUP of a people – including a sister and a brother – who travelled from Manchester to St Helens and murdered dad-of-one are to be sentenced today (Friday). Warren Glover, 33, was attacked on Saturday, June 13, 2020 on French Street at its junction with Thompson Street, Toll Bar. Liverpool Crown Court heard he was the victim of a revenge attack over text messages he sent to ex-girlfriend, Melissa Stubbs. Melissa, her brother Aaron Stubbs, friend Stephen Strutt, and Peter Walker, were charged with murder. Following a six-week trial, a jury found the four guilty last week. A fifth defendant Sarah Clarke, 30, was found guilty of assisting an offender, after hiding Strutt, her partner, at a Blackpool hotel as police searched for him after the murder.
