In Lake Forest, Stanford “Randy” Tack, with his wife, Paula standing by his side, was sworn in May 1 as the city’s new mayor, following his election in April’s municipal election.
Under the terms of the settlement agreement, the developers, Peter Witmer and Todd Altounian, are modifying their latest proposal for the property within the city’s historic preservation district on McKinley Road, just east of the city’s downtown.

LAKE FOREST, IL Lake Forest city staff are drawing up an ordinance to permit the operation of food trucks in certain circumstances after a majority of aldermen indicated last week they would support at least a limited lifting of the city s strict restrictions on rolling restauranteurs.
Mayor George Pandaleon said the closure of Market House on the Square was also a factor, with remodeling not set to be complete at its successor, Le Colonial, until after the summer.
Former Lake County board member Michael Rummel was cleared last month by the Illinois State Board of Elections after a complaint was leveled by a public advocacy group regarding his campaign finance structure.
