It will be a while before Australia opens its borders to the rest of the world (they know how to play it safe Down Under), but when the country comes back, it will be with gusto. We salute the hotels that opened this year under the shadow of the pandemic, as well as a few from late 2019 that never got a fair shot once they opened. Organic honey in demand: Meluka Australia debuts in US’s offline channel Amazon’s Whole Foods Meluka Australia has expanded into the offline channel in the US with Whole Foods Market, a subsidiary of Amazon, on the back of growing demand for its organic honey.
The brand’s Organic Raw Native Honey and Organic Raw Native Honey infused with Tea Tree will be sold in about 40 Whole Foods Market stores in Northern California by April.
This will cover major cities of San Francisco, San Jose (Silicon Valley), and Oakland.
Prior to the offline entry, the brand has been selling its full range of honey products and bio-fermented probiotic concentrate in the US online on Amazon over a year ago.

During Summer afternoon walks are always such a pleasure. Ever the heat of the Summer days there are hundreds of flowering plant species in full bloom. This week I decided to walk the tracks of Kershaw Gardens. And I was amazed at the number different plants in full bloom. Many of the plants were even flowering out of season.
In many ways Rockhampton’s Kershaw Garden is a hidden gem for spending a quiet hour or two. Opened as Rockhampton’s second botanic garden Kershaw Gardens became one of the first Australian Native Plant gardens in the country.

UPDATE 11.15AM: Power has been restored to 1000 Slade Point residents who were left without power early on Sunday morning. Ergon Energy crews were called to Slade Point at 7.47am to begin emergency maintenance of the electricity network. Power was restored at about 11am. Outages at Beaconsfield and Kuttabul are still ongoing.

The lawyer for accused quarantine hotel escapee Jenny DâUbios is appalled her client is being held in a maximum-security prison after attempts to secure her bail conditions were allegedly undone by police and media.
After a few short hours of freedom, Ms D Ubios, 49, was back behind bars late on Monday night over an issue with the address on her bail application.
