The Kandiyohi County Board approved an agreement with the Minnesota Department of Transportation that will upgrade the 1st Avenue West railroad crossing near the Farm Service Elevator and PALS.
The plan, pulled together by the Mid-Minnesota Development Commission and Kandiyohi County, lays out a 10-year roadmap for the county's trail network, including five years worth of potential projects.
The Minnesota Department of Transportation at the Dec. 19 meeting of the Kandiyohi County Board presented the completed intersection control evaluation for possible safety improvements at the intersection of Minnesota Highways 23 and 9 in New London.
The County Board approved resolutions supporting three applications to the state Local Road Improvement Program from Dovre and Edwards townships along with one for the county itself.
