Ray opponents to the pipeline were aiming for 10,000 names on their petition. Instead, they will have nearly 11,000 names to present to the governor. Shortly before 10 30, those opposed to the pipeline began their march to the statehouse, accompanied by chants and the beat of drums. Kinder morgan says that the pipeline could mean a 25 to 35 reduction in electric bills. Natural gas could be used to generate energy. But those here in front of the statehouse fear that New Hampshire ratepayers would have to foot the cost of the an increase in utility bills. Opponents also say that there are other ways to meet the energy needs here in New Hampshire, and there are too many
