Confirm what appears likely that it is the first piece of Malaysia Flight 370 to be found since the plane vanished 17 months ago. Seth doane now on what could be the first piece of the puzzle. Reporter the debris that washed ashore appeared to be part of the wing known as a flaperon of a boeing 777 aircraft, and today boeing confirmed that the serial number found on the wreckage belonged to one of their aircraft parts. The flaperon will be taken to france for more analysis, including examining the barnicles to see if it matches something submerged for roughly 500 days. Australias transport minister warren truss called the find a major lead. This is, obviously a very significant development.
