Snacktaku puts Australian burgers through their paces.
I consider myself something of a burger connoisseur, despite having no formal burger qualifications or any authority on the subject. But many people speak on things that don’t concern them, so I figure I’m well within my rights to pass judgement on the succulent buns of the Australian fast food industry.
From the cardboardy pleasures of a McDonald’s Big Mac to the slight-less-greasy-but-just-as-bad-for-you whoppers of Hungry Jack’s, let’s dive in with all the best burgers from Australia’s most iconic fast food restaurants and burger bars.
While I won’t be covering every burger joint around, there are some crowd favourites in the definitive Kotaku Australia burger list. Maybe your favourite made the cut.

Dutch heavy lift and transportation company Mammoet has said it has won its largest-ever contract at the Arctic LNG 2 project in Russia.
Mammoet said Monday the contract was awarded by Technip-led joint venture NovArctic in cooperation with Saipem and NIPIgas. Under the contract, Mammoet will be responsible for unloading, transportation, and installation for the Novatek-operated Arctic LNG 2 project.
The $21.3 billion Arctic LNG 2 project, sanctioned in 2019, will develop the Utrenneye field on the Gydan Peninsula. The project includes the construction of three LNG trains, with a capacity of 6.6 mtpa of LNG each, and at least 1.6 mtpa of stable gas condensate. The total LNG capacity of the three trains will be 19.8 mtpa. The project employs a construction concept using offshore gravity-based structures (GBS).
How to prepare any port for FPSO integration
As energy companies continue to access new geographies and resources, it is expected the majority of upcoming FPSO projects will be for the South American and African markets. Mammoet explores how ports and yards in these regions can ensure they are in the best position to serve this growing demand.
A strong pipeline of FPSO projects is anticipated in the coming decade, with around 110 already at the planning stage. These new assets will be focused on pushing the limits of processing capability, and in doing so they are likely to move away from lower capacity refurbished vessels in favor of purpose-built designs.
