Wary of Biden’s policies, Turkey nudges closer to Egypt
Today, the country however seems more inclined towards reducing its hostile and escalatory policies as it waits to see how relations are going to develop with the new US administration.

ANKARA Turkey is willing to negotiate with Egypt and sign a deal over maritime boundaries in the Eastern Mediterranean, the Turkish foreign minister said on Wednesday.
The statement indicates a Turkish desire to ease tensions with Cairo, but does not mean that Ankara is ready to review its policies and abandon its ambitious projects in the region.

RAMALLAH, Sunday, February 21, 2021 (WAFA) - President Mahmoud Abbas received today Egypt s Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources, Tarek El Molla, in the West Bank city of Ramallah.
During the meeting, a memorandum of understanding was signed between the partner parties in the Gaza Gas Field, where Mohammed Mustafa, Chairman of the Investment Fund Board of Directors, signed for the Palestinian side, while Magdy Jalal, Chairman of the Egyptian Natural Gas Holding Company, signed for the Egyptian side.

The event marks the merger of the 3rd Mediterranean Oil & Gas Summit and the 8th Balkans Petroleum event. The conference will bring together European and Balkans officials with IOCs, the organiser said.
IN-VR’s co-CEO Chryssa Tsouraki highlighted the regional appetite for investment and new projects. “The countries of the Mediterranean are going through a restructuring of policies and laws. There are projects with regional importance and global importance,” she said.
