proposition 8. there was one lone demonstrator outside the court in san francisco. many say they basically expected this decision for an 11 judge panel not to rehear a ruling that found the 2008 law unconstitutional because it strips gay and lesbians from the right to marry. they now have to look to the supreme court for answers. supporters say this is the next logical step. more good news from the court. we have been seeing momentum across the country saying that marriage discrimination is unconstitutional, and this is yet another ruling in this case saying that the prop 8 ruling, overturning proposition 8 stands. we are on the final lap with this case now. reporter: prop 8 supporters vowed to take this all the way to the u.s. supreme court. they would have to file a request to do that, though, and the court could decide to hear it or let the decision of 9th circuit court stand as it is. for now, same sex marriages are still on hold, while prop 8 supporters have a chance
