HOUSTON Ten people were rescued Wednesday from a suspected human smuggling house in Southwest Houston, according to police.
According to HPD, one of the victims was involved in an altercation with one of the suspects in the 7000 block of Bissonnet. Police said the suspect was seen pushing the victim into a vehicle.
Police said investigators followed leads that took them to the house on McAvoy, where they made the discovery.
HPD said two suspects were taken into custody.
Police say two people are now in custody and a total of 10 people were rescued from a human trafficking operation in SW Houston. The youngest a 17-year-old woman.

Police in Texas busted a suspected human smuggling operation being run out of a Houston home Wednesday, rescuing 10 captives and arresting two suspects, authorities said.
The 10 victims were discovered at a home in the 9000 block of McAvoy Drive in southwest Houston, Houston police said.
