The Beaufort County School District said new principals have been selected to lead nine schools during the 2021-22 academic year.
District officials made internal hires for seven of the positions, a news release said, and two hires from outside the district.
The district said the principals approved last week by the school board “were the top choices of committees that interviewed finalists for each position.”
“Those committees included teachers, principals, School Improvement Council members, and representatives of the district’s Instructional Services Division,” the release said. “The high school interview committee also included a student.”
