This was confirmed to
KickOff.com by the former Bloemfontein Celtic and Golden Arrows coach earlier today.
In what was a last-minute attempt to escape relegation, Pondo Chiefs roped in the experienced coach in March, replacing caretaker coach Julius Dube.
Though Larsen s arrival did help improve the team, it was a case of too little too late.
Chiefs have since been relegated after finishing at the bottom of the GladAfrica Championship table, and Sunday was Larsen s last day at the club. At this stage I can t say much regarding that, we ll just have to wait, my agent is busy with that so I ll just wait and see ja, Larsen says.

Masibusane Zongo has left relegated GladAfrica Championship side Bizana Pondo Chiefs.
The 30-year-old former Platinum Stars and Tshakuma Tsha Madzivhandila man had signed a short-term contract until the end of the season.
That was after impressing former coach Julius Dube at training, but the arrival of Clinton Larsen saw his stay with struggling Bizana end.
In March, Golden Arrows head coach Mandla Ncikazi revealed he wanted to sign the talented winger for the DStv Premiership club but Zongo failed to arrive.
According to an insider at Chiefs, it has been weeks since Zongo last trained with the squad.

Bizana Pondo Chiefs boss Nathi Mqokiyane is confident that his team will make a swift return to the GladAfrica Championship after being relegated this week.
Chiefs were relegated to ABC Motsepe League following a 3-2 loss at the hands Cape Town All Stars on Wednesday afternoo.
The Eastern Cape side have spent only one season in the second tier after winning promotion from the ABC Motsepe League last season. It is the way it is. This part of football, Mqokiyane tells
KickOff.com. I feel satisfied. This because the club has achieved part of the main objective to showcase talent that was not in radar of South African football. Our objective was to give platform for our players to advance their career in football and we did this successfully because I can tell you majority of these boys will be playing their football in professional football next season and beyond .

Bizana Pondo Chiefs head coach Clinton Larsen says the reason teams he coaches get relegated is because he is not scared to take on challenges.
Larsen was announced as Bizana coach in March and was unable to save the team from the drop back down to the ABC Motsepe League.
Last season Larsen experienced the same thing while in charge of then-Premiership club Polokwane City. Ja well I m taking impossible challenges all the time, Larsen replies to KickOff.com. If you look at it, I went to a team in Polokwane that had lost 10 games in a row. And now I went to a team that s at the bottom of the table with lots of inexperience. So the challenges I m taking on are not easy challenges.
