Leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, Nnamdi Kanu, has alleged a plan by men of the Nigerian Army to carry out attackson certain areas in Imo State.
In a tweet on Wednesday, Kanu urged residents of Mbaise Mbano and Obowo axes of the state to be at alert as there were reports that drones by the Nigerian Army had been deployed to the areas.

The separatist called on members of the Eastern Security Network to defend their lands from those he called terrorists in uniform .
The social media space in Nigeria has continued to have the ‘Pantami Must Go’ discussion as one of its key trends in recent times.
This is so as more evidences emerge in justification of the alleged link of Nigeria’s Communications minister, Dr. Isa Pantami to terrorism.
The latest calls were triggered by a publication on Nairaland.com, which recently surfaced online detailing the minutes of a meeting allegedly chaired by Pantami in 2010, and organized to control the spread of Christianity in the North.
The publication was titled “Minutes of a Joint Meeting of the JNI of Four States Consisting of Plateau, Bauchi, Kaduna and Niger State Held in Bauchi Central Mosque on the 13th July 2010, Chaired by Mallam Ali Ibrahim Pantami”, which attempted to regulate and checkmate the activities of Christians in Northern Nigeria.
As the world marked Easter, gunmen invaded the Nigerian Correctional Service (NCS) facility and police command headquarters in Owerri, Imo state capital, on Monday. 1,844 inmates were said to have escaped during the attack, and the police pointed an accusing finger at the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB).

Few hours after the attack, Nnamdi Kanu, IPOB leader, in a tweet, said nobody deserves to be jailed in Nigeria. However, his position contradicts the Nigerian constitution which recommends jail term for several offences.
“If Miyetti Allah terror herdsmen & other murderous #Fulani groups, including Boko Haram insurgents, can be arrested, freed and rehabilitated by this neo-colonial Fulanised @NGRPresident, then no single soul deserves to be in any prison in Nigeria. If you know you know! #UGM,” he tweeted.

This comes as over 2,000 inmates at the headquarters of the Nigerian Correctional Service, Owerri, Imo State were set free by unknown gunmen on Monday morning.

The leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu, has said no one deserves to be in any Nigerian prison when killer herdsmen and Boko Haram militants get arrested, freed and rehabilitated.
Kanu disclosed this on his Twitter handle on Monday morning.

He tweeted, “If Miyetti Allah terror herdsmen & other murderous #Fulani groups, including Boko Haram insurgents, can be arrested, freed and rehabilitated by this neo-colonial Fulanised @NGRPresident, then no single soul deserves to be in any prison in Nigeria. If you know you know! #UGM”
Kanu stated this on Twitter, while reacting to the incident.
He added that Igboho should not be touched.
Mazi Nnamdi Kanu (@MaziNnamdiKanu) on his Twitter handle said, “I condemn in totality the pathetic attempt to arrest Sunday Igboho earlier today. This is yet another deliberate act of provocation by the Fulani Caliphate. No #Fulani mass murderer, Miyetti Allah or bandit is under arrest. #Nigeria is on the brink! Igboho should not be touched.”
A team of policemen, soldiers and DSS had attempted on Friday to arrest Igboho, along the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway.
The arrest, which resulted in pandemonium in the area, was unsuccessful as angry youths and supporters of Igboho resisted the security operatives.
