Three-time All-Ireland winning Limerick hurler Pat Ryan has appealed a jail sentence imposed on him today, shortly after he pleaded guilty to committing perjury during judicial proceedings in which he was accused of speeding.
Gardaí are renewing their appeal for information on the murder of an Ardnacrusha man on the 20th anniversary of his death. Sean Poland was murdered in his home on the night of December 31st, 2002.
