In a rematch of the 2019 Loris mayoral election, incumbent Mayor Todd Harrelson and Loris City Councilman Michael Suggs will battle for the post when voters go to the polls. The municipal election will be held Tuesday, Nov. 7.
UPDATE, 9:45 p.m.: Sheriff Floyd Bonner and former mayor Willie Herenton have conceded the mayor’s race to Paul Young. With 39% of precincts reporting, Bonner was in second place to Young.
