Pasig City Mayor Victor Ma. Regis “Vico” Sotto’s citation as one of the US State Department’s 12 International Anti-Corruption Champions should be celebrated so more will be inspired by his good deeds, Vice President Leni Robredo on Wednesday, February 24.

“Public officials like Mayor Vico should be supported and celebrated to pave the way for more officials to be like him,” Robredo posted on her Facebook page.
“Marami namang matitino at mahuhusay na local officials pero hindi masyadong napapansin (There are many honorable and good local officials that we don’t notice). They are usually the ones who do not call too much attention to themselves, are simple and humble. Walang masyadong bravado at nagtratrabaho lang ng tahimik (They do not show too much bravado and they work silently),” she said.

PASIG CITY, Feb. 24 (PIA) Pasig City Mayor Vico Sotto has been named one of 12 International Anti-corruption Champions by the United States Department of State.
In a statement issued on Tuesday, US Secretary of State Antony Blinken said the award recognizes individuals who have demonstrated leadership, courage and impact in preventing, exposing and combating corruption.
Mayor Vico was one of 12 individuals who have worked tirelessly, often in the face of adversity, to defend transparency, combat corruption, and ensure accountability in their own countries.”
Sotto was even described by the department as a “standard-bearer for a new generation of Philippine politicians who prioritize anti-corruption and transparency initiatives in their election campaigns and in office.”

In a series of photos uploaded on its official Facebook account, the city government showcased the center’s facilities and data encoding technologies. The Vaccine Command Center houses the personnel involved in the day-to-day operations of the Vaccination Team. Currently, the site is being occupied by members of the Operations Center, profilers, encoders, and nurses.
One part of the center was dedicated to the Pasig Health Monitor, which is the city’s health information management and monitoring system that will be used in the pre-vaccination phase of the Vaccination Plan, specifically in terms of databasing citizen’s health information relevant to COVID-19 vaccination.
The Pasig City government formally launched on Monday its COVID-19 Vaccination Command Center to ensure the smooth and efficient rollout of its COVID-19 vaccination plan.
