Some 212 healthcare workers in Mandaluyong City will undergo a two-day online training program in preparation for the city’s vaccination program against the coronavirus disease (COVID-19).
City Health Officer Dr. Alex Sta. Maria said the first batch of participants, composed of doctors, nurses, and midwives, will be trained starting January 21 via video conferencing app Zoom.
Members of the Bureau of Fire Protection, Philippine National Police, Bureau of Jail Management and Penology, and the remaining city health workers will be trained on January 25 to 26.
Sta. Maria said they will be trained by other healthcare workers from Mandaluyong City Health Office and representatives from public and private hospitals in the city who recently completed an online orientation facilitated by the Department of Health (DOH) regarding the vaccination program of the local government.
