(Mandaluyong City PIO / MANILA BULLETIN) In an interview with DZRH News on Saturday, Abalos said if they are able to inoculate at least 7,000 individuals a day, herd immunity in the city will be achieved before November, which is the target month of the national government for the National Capital Region. Abalos said the city has vaccinated 100 percent of its A1 and A3 priority groups and 58 percent of its A2 groups for the first dose. The mayor also said Mandaluyogn residents are not choosy when it comes to vaccine brand. “Gusto na talaga nila mabakunahan (They jut really want to be vaccinated) regardless of brand. For them, any brand, any vaccine will do as long as mabakunahan na kami (they will get vaccinated),” she said.

“The moment na nalaman ko ‘yan talagang pina-imbestigahan ko yan (The moment I learned about it, I asked for its investigation),” Abalos told DZRH News in an interview.
Abalos said authorities still don’t have a lead or suspect for the vaccination slot scheme but is currently in contact with a certain “Norman,” who reportedly received a vaccination slot offer from a friend.
“Kapag nahuli namin ’yan talagang…kung kailngan i-demanda sila, para matigil ‘yung kanilang pang s-scam (Once we catch these individuals, we will file a case against them to stop their scam),” the mayor said.

In an interview with DZMM, Mayor Carmelita “Menchie” Abalos said she is eyeing to issue quarantine passes again for working residents of Mandaluyong.
“Baka ipagamit namin ulit. Kung kailangan mag issue ulit like halimbawa dito sa aming i-lo-lockdown, pwede nila gamitin ‘yon pang work lang, pag mag ta-trabaho sila (We might ask them to use it again. If ever we need to issue quarantine passes in areas which we will place in lockdown, it will be used for work, when they are going to work),” Abalos said when asked if the city will implement the use of quarantine passes anew.
