After a president ial campaign during which he suggested he would question the peaceful transfer of power if he lost, president elect donald trump today participated in a one of the key rituals for that transfer of power, meeting with the outgoing president of the United States, and struck a conciliatory tone. This was a meeting that was going to last for maybe 10 or 15 minutes, and we were just going to get to know each other. We had never met each other. I have great respect. The meeting lasted for almost an hour and a half. And it could have, as far as im concerned, it could have gone for a lot longer.
