U. S. Special forces and kurdish fighters storm the compound on thursday in a mission to rescue hostages believed to be in danger of execution. A u. S. Soldier was killed during the operation. 70 hostages were freed but not the kurdish captives they were september in to rescue. That raid has critics raising questions about the u. S. Role in iraq.
