Wellesley Townsman
The Wellesley Health Department has reported the first case in Wellesley of the U.K. COVID-19 variant (B.1.1.7). This case appears to be from community spread and not acquired from traveling, according to a brief from the town.
The town s percent positivity rate is continuing to decrease. However, health officials are reminding the community that the town is still in the yellow (moderate) risk category and are urging people to follow COVID-19 precautions, including wearing a mask, keeping socially distant, and washing their hands, even if they have been vaccinated.
