Maui Cancer Resources, a Maui-based nonprofit, is launching a new program, “Angels on Assignment” from a grant awarded from 100+ Women Who Care

Maui-based nonprofit organization, UVSC (Us Vs. Cancer), was recently selected by the well-known beauty brand, Thrive Causemetics, as a Giving Partner.
In response to the August fires on Maui, UVSC announced additional efforts to help cancer patients that are dealing with trauma and loss caused by the devastation of the fires and financial challenges from their cancer diagnosis.
The American Cancer Society estimates that approximately 2,300 cancer survivors and current cancer patients were living in the areas of Maui affected by the wildfires. To help patients deal with trauma and loss caused by their cancer diagnosis and the devastation of the fires, ACS is teaming up with Maui Cancer Resources to offer group therapy sessions.
Cancer survivors who have been impacted by the Lahaina fire can schedule free one-hour medical consultations with Dr. Bridget Bongaard, Medical Director of Maui Cancer Resources.
