Feb 19, 2021 LISBON In county Municipal Court, Matthew P. Soldo, 40, Grant Street, Salem, was bound over to the grand jury for an obstructing official business charge for allegedly telling Perry Township police Amanda Hines was not in the home, refused to come back to the door and was found hiding with Hines in a bedroom next to the door on Feb. 11. Diego B. Gonzalez, 32, Youngstown, was bound over to the grand jury on a receiving stolen property charge for allegedly driving a stolen black 2020 Ford Fusion with North Carolina registration on Feb. 9. Gonzalez was credited with seven days served, sentenced to an additional eight days in jail and fined $600 for driving under suspension, possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.

COLUMBIANA COUNTY COURT NEWS LISBON An Operation Big Oak defendant, Micheala Sue Reardon, 27, Cleveland, pleaded guilty in Common Pleas Court to attempted engaging in a pattern of corrupt activity, a second-degree felony; corrupting another with drugs, a second-degree felony; aggravated trafficking in heroin, a second-degree felony; aggravated trafficking in cocaine, a fourth-degree felony; and two counts of aggravated trafficking in drugs, both a fourth-degree felony. Reardon was sentenced to two years in prison and fined $7,500 after requesting immediate sentencing. In a separate case, Reardon pleaded guilty to illegal conveyance of a drug of abuse onto the grounds of a specified government facility and was sentenced to a year in prison with credit for 29 days already served and consecutive to the time she is serving in the Operation Big Oak case. Reardon had brought marijuana and tobacco to the county jail on July 7, 2019.

Jan 15, 2021 LISBON A New York man, who allegedly sliced a local man in the head and back with a razor blade at a former motel was among 50 people indicted by the Columbiana County Common Pleas Court grand jury this week. Naquan P. McCorkle, 35, Lynbrook, N.Y., is charged with felonious assault, a second-degree felony, and attempted murder, a first-degree felony. In the early morning hours of Nov. 30, McCorkle is accused of cutting Brian Custer with a razor blade in attempt to end his life at the location formerly known as the Trails End Motel on state Route 45 between Lisbon and West Point.

Dec 22, 2020 LISBON In county Municipal Court. Codey A. Mobley, 26, Chester Avenue, Wellsville, was bound over to the grand jury on charges of burglary, a second-degree felony; domestic violence, a fourth-degree felony; escape, a second-degree felony; and two counts of resisting arrest. A jury trial was scheduled Feb. 3 for Mobley, who is also facing prior charges from August of aggravated menacing, criminal damaging, criminal trespassing and domestic violence. Cody A. Lawson, 24, Youngstown, waived his right to a preliminary hearing and was bound over to the grand jury on a grand theft charge, a fourth-degree felony. Lawson is alleged to have stolen a vehicle from Dylan Mayfield, who had left it running to warm up on Dec. 17.

Dec 18, 2020 LISBON Grand theft charges were filed Thursday in county Municipal Court against Cody A. Lawson, 24, of Youngstown. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for Monday. Matthew P. Soldo, 40, of Youngstown, pleaded innocent to charges of violating a protection order and possessing drug abuse instruments. The matter will be scheduled for a pretrial hearing. Joshua D. Stewart, 32, of Salem, pleaded innocent to possessing drug abuse instruments and three counts of possessing drug paraphernalia. The matter will be scheduled for a pretrial hearing. Skylar C. Gaver, 25, of Damascus, was fined $100 after being found guilty of possessing drug paraphernalia. Gaver’s license was also suspended for six months, with limited driving privileges.
