Arrest made for alleged murder of southern Utah man

KANE COUNTY, Utah â A suspect has been arrested after a complex and time-consuming homicide investigation in southern Utah.
Jason Thomas Bates, 38, faces multiple charges in connection with the
First-degree felony murder
Second-degree felony aggravated assault
Third-degree felony possession of a firearm by a restricted person
He was arrested Monday by U.S. Marshals without incident in Flagstaff, Arizona, and is awaiting extradition to Utah.
The sheriff s office said the investigation is still ongoing, and the Unified Police Department and the Utah State Bureau of Investigations are assisting.
