PORTSMOUTH - Superintendent Steve Zadravec is a finalist for a superintendent position with the Reading Public Schools in Massachusetts.
Last Thursday, the district’s school committee listed Zadravec and two others as candidates to lead the district. A final decision will be announced on Thursday, Feb. 11.
“Essentially, it’s something I’m exploring right now,” Zadravec said Monday. “It certainly would be tough to leave this community, but for personal and family reasons I’ve decided to explore it.”
Zadravec is in the final year of a three-year contract that expires June 30, one that pays him $151,228.26 annually with a cost of living adjustment not less than 2% nor more than 5% each year.
