WOKE WATCH: Prince gave comatose Snow White kiss without consent

Article content Well, now it’s come to this. Two San Francisco “journalists” (read activists) are taking umbrage at Disneyland’s new Snow White’s Enchanted Wish ride at the famed California theme park. We apologize, but this video has failed to load. Try refreshing your browser, or WOKE WATCH: Prince gave comatose Snow White kiss without consent Back to video It seems “journalists” Katie Dowd and Julie Tremaine were appalled by “a kiss he (the prince) gives to her without her consent, while she’s asleep (in the story he thought she was dead, but nevermind that), which cannot possibly be true love if only one person knows it’s happening.”

Students Praise Cornell University s Rock Climbing Course Designed for Nonwhites – RedState

In February, I covered the case of the Ivy League school’s rock climbing course. Per a web archive, the original description went as follows: Come climb with COE (Cornell Outdoor Education) and take part in the Cornell climbing community! We will introduce you to rock climbing movement and techniques, belaying, equipment, knots, rappelling, and safety at the Lindseth Climbing Center. Courses ensure a high degree of individual attention and a supportive space to explore the vertical world! Sound good? Among the Ivy League school s Outdoor Education offerings for the spring 2021 semester was a course called BIPOC Rock Climbing. The course description, according to the Cornell Daily Sun, specified that the class was for people who identify as Black, Indigenous, Latinx, Asian, or other people of color. That prompted an uproar from across the internet. The university was accused of violating federal and state civil rights law, while one Reddit user decried what they described as a horrifically and monstrously racist practice that has no place in the modern world and literally evil.

Cornell s race-exclusive rock-climbing course remains under fire

(207 miles) At Cornell University in upstate New York, a controversial course in rock-climbing has been attracting all of the wrong sorts of attention. It was originally billed as a “BIPOC Rock Climbing” class. In order to sign up for it, you had to “identify” as either “Black, Indigenous, Latinx, Asian, or other people of color.” In other words, no whites allowed. After the media brought this to the attention of the public the school dropped the race-based restrictions and opened the class up to anyone who wanted to sign up. But the debate is still going on, and as the Free Beacon reports this week, the students who cooked up the idea in the first place are defending it as a way to fight white supremacists or whatever the tagline is supposed to be this week.

Cornell first offered BIPOC Rock Climbing in the spring of 2021, exclusively to people who identify as Black, Indigenous, Latinx, Asian, or other people of color. The school removed the racial enrollment requirement in response to a Cornell Daily Sun that segregating the class is a small step toward greater racial equity.
