Ehssan Veiszadeh has resigned as the Premierâs director of strategy. He will join the Committee for Sydney in the double threat role of deputy chief executive and director of strategy. After six years inside State Parliament, his departure ends one of the most enduring fixtures of Berejiklianâs political machine.

End of year street parties have taken on added meaning in 2020 for Sydneysiders who have spent more time close to home because of the COVID-19 pandemic.
In the past few weeks, Sydneysiders from Manly to Maroubra have wound down the year with a few socially distant bevvies with the neighbours.
The Inner West Council issued more permits for road closures for street parties this year than last year, while Waverley Council had a flurry of applications after bringing its âstreet play gatheringâ initiative out of hiatus a few weeks ago.
