Well hear from one of them coming up in the next half hour. Live in the newsroom, anne makovec, kpix 5. An oakland teenager is safe and sound this morning after police rescued her from a home where she was being held captive. Investigators say the kidnapping could be tied to human trafficking. Police swarmed the home near 65th and herzog yesterday after hearing reports of a man kidnapping a young girl. Officers found the teen and arrested a 20yearold man. The fbi estimates more than 100,000 children nationwide are victims of sex trafficking and if that was the case here, the teen may have escaped an even worse fate. And in a major shift tonight trump call out Bashar Al Assad. I will tell you that attack on children yesterday had a big impact on me. Big impact. That was a horrible, horrible thing and ive been watching it and seeing it and it doesnt get any worse than that. My attitude toward syria and assad has changed very much. The other person he blamed was the former president , barack obama. The Obama Administration had a great opportunity to solve this crisis a long time ago when he set the red line in the sand. When he didnt dloos line after making the threat, i think that set us back a long ways, not only in syria but in many other parts of the world, because it was a blank threat. Now, despite saying that this attack went beyond a red line, trump did not say what action he would take. At an Oval Office Meeting with King Abdullah of jordan, when asked what he would do prumps only response was youll see. Does he have a plan or does he not know . One thing we know tonight is that President Tr
Specifically that to members of congress. There may be a nuance that explains why he answered the question that way. But no questions about this, what were seeing from the president of the United States is different than what we saw a week ago when you had the White House Press secretary all indicating that Bashar Al Assad is not going to leave the scene. This has changed what is happening inside this administration when it comes to dealing with assad and weighing whether or not he should remain in power. I think theres no question that this is going to be coming up with president xi during these very intense talks. Its only going to be 24 hours long, this meeting. They were already going to talk about these thorny issues of trade in north korea but you can add syria to the list because it does appear very much so that President Trump and secretary of state tillerson have really changed their attitudes when it comes to Bashar Al Assad and syria. Let me stay on that. Dana bash, the poin
