Print Police have identified an 18-year-old man killed earlier this week near Chicano Park as Danilo Emmanuel Gudiel Rivas of San Diego. Officers were called to the area on National Avenue, next to the park near Interstate 5 and state Route 75 in Barrio Logan, shortly after 10 p.m. Monday. They found Gudiel Rivas unresponsive and with “obvious trauma to his torso,” police said in a news release. A group of people was loading him into the back of pickup. Officers tried life-saving measures until paramedics arrived and took Gudiel Rivas to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
