Tickets on sale to general public for CommBank Matildas v Thailand in Gosford

The CommBank Matildas will complete their 2022 international calendar in Gosford as they meet Thailand in the second match of the Seven Consulting International Series on 15 November at Central Coast Stadium.    Two-time defending Olympic silver medallists, Sweden, have already been locked in for a Saturday afternoon classic at AAMI Park on 12 November with Thailand rounding out the calendar.   

Match Preview: CommBank Matildas v South Africa

The CommBank Matildas historic international against the Women’s African Cup of Nations champions, South Africa, is set for this Saturday at Kingsmeadow Stadium in London. The fixture will be the first international match played at the home of England’s Women’s Super League champions, Chelsea Women’s FC, and the club home of CommBank Matildas captain Sam Kerr. 

CommBank Matildas call in trio as injuries force squad changes for October Internationals

Forward Remy Siemsen and defenders Emma Checker and Matilda McNamara have been added to the CommBank Matildas squad ahead of the upcoming internationals against South Africa and Denmark.   The European-based trio will replace Emily van Egmond (quad strain), Tameka Yallop (ankle), Clare Wheeler (minor knee) and forward Kyah Simon who have all been ruled out due to injuries sustained at their clubs prior to the commencement of the October FIFA Women’s International Window.  

Catley: It s really important to play all sorts of teams

The first arrivals for the CommBank Matildas October FIFA International Window entered the assembly in England as the team commenced their preparations for upcoming internationals against South Africa and Denmark.  Several UK-based players, including captain Sam Kerr and vice-captain Steph Catley, were joined by a raft of players from across Europe, the USA and Australia for the first training session in South-West London.  For London-based Catley, the travel into camp was a decidedly atypical affair to those in the past 18 months.
