Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan has requested the intervention of his Uttar Pradesh counterpart Adityanath in the treatment of jailed journalist Siddique Kappan.
Kappan is facing severe health problems , diabetes and heart ailments , Vijayan wrote yesterday. After getting infected with Covid-19, he has been admitted to KVM Hospital, Mathura. He is reportedly being kept chained to his bed even when his health condition is precarious.

I would like to draw your kind attention towards the severe health problem being faced by Siddique Kappan, a journalist from Kerala, currently in custody under Unlawful Activities Prevention Act (UAPA) in Mathura, Uttar Pradesh, wrote Venugopal in his letter to Adityanath.
