No matter how many critical accolades or recommendations from my peers a TV series gets, I ve often struggled with taking the leap into a new one.
Who are these people on my screen and
why would I want to hang out with them for so many hour-long blocks? During the colder months of my lockdown blues, this reluctance to invest into unfamiliar universes and character dynamics has mostly kept me to just binging hours of unchallenging content. With little to no energy, attention span or hunger to broaden my horizons, my ideal comfort viewing experience has mostly amounted to watching drag queen Jaymes Mansfield transform cheap wigs into better wigs or custom doll-making videos on repaint extraordinaire HeXtian s channel

Whether inspired by Peaky Blinders or Daniel Craig s James Bond, the suit is a tailoring linchpin. Other than fiction these days, the suit barely appears other than on presenters or politicians on newsroom or current affairs programmes.
With tracksuit bottoms the mainstay of most of those working from home, albeit worn with a slightly more presentable top, has the pandemic killed off the suit? Or will we return to work clothes when we re beckoned back to the office?
For those looking forward to consigning the tracksuit bottoms to the bottom of their wardrobe and aiming for a sharper return-to-work look, inspiration can be found in the French cult comedy, the talent agency drama Call My Agent.

Call My Agent! (2015-2020) to the world. âIt wasnât intentional, but everything that Iâve come up with, every story thatâs interested me, deals with what binds people,â he told me more than a decade ago. âHow boundaries exist in a family, or a group of friends, or a couple, or a company. If I deal with only personal problems, for me that wouldnât be enough.â
