What has been described as one of the UK’s first luxury volumetric modular housing developments made up of four houses worth almost £5.5million in total has gone on sale on the Lizard Peninsula. Horizon Meadows is being built at North Corner, Coverack and also boasts the claim of having an energy efficiency rating that marks it carbon neutral. The gated development features four luxury volumetric modular units, which are large building elements that can be linked together to form complete buildings without the need for an additional superstructure. Landowner Michael Tylor was granted detailed planning permission for the development in February this year, following outline planing permission in November 2018, despite some neighbour objection.
It is one of Helston s most recognisable properties – and now it s up for sale for the first time in three decades. Arguably second only to Lismore House for its Flora Day fame over being part of the Midday Dance route, Leslie House in Lady Street is steeped in history. Built in 1810 for a wealthy tin merchant and his family this Grade II listed Georgian property has since been used as part of the Second World War effort to house members of the women s land army and during the late 20th Century was the local unemployment exchange.
