Genius Meets Grit The pandemic didn’t slow the pace of significant achievements by UMass Amherst undergraduates in research, scholarship, and creative activity. This year, persistent UMass Amherst undergraduates adapted to COVID-19 restrictions as they engaged in substantial research, exercised their creativity, and elevated campus and the community. They found ways to thrive they worked on campus when permitted and capitalized on remote research, learning, and volunteer opportunities. 2021 Massachusetts Undergraduate Research Conference to be Held Virtually

April 6, 2021 AMHERST, Mass. – The 2021 Massachusetts Undergraduate Research Conference (MassURC) will be held as a virtual event on Friday, April 23. MassURC serves as an opportunity for undergraduate students from public colleges, universities and community colleges across the Commonwealth to showcase their research and engage with peers, faculty and conference attendees. The 2021 MassURC will feature the research of 910 undergraduate students representing 26 of the public higher education institutions in Massachusetts. Commonwealth Honors College at the University of Massachusetts Amherst is the administrative arm of MassURC and a co-sponsor of the conference, along with the Massachusetts Department of Higher Education, the Massachusetts State University Council of Presidents and Massachusetts Community Colleges.
