Local Police Departments Receive Grants to Increase Seat Belt Use The Dartmouth Police Department and the New Bedford Police Department were both awarded grants from the Executive Office of Public Safety and Security s Office of Grants and Research (OGR) to increase the number of patrols and to remind drivers and passengers about the lifesaving benefits of wearing a seat belt. DPD and NBPD will join other departments across the state, and the Massachusetts Department of State Police in the national Click It or Ticket enforcement campaign.
