When Morgan J. Peters II creates music, sometimes it feels like he has an unfair advantage.
âIt sort of feels like cheating, but itâs not, said Morgan, a graduate of the Class of 2021 at Mashpee High School.
âI hear music in my head â songs that donât even exist, melodies that are just in my mind â and then I go put the melody down somewhere.â
Morganâs songwriting ability might not be easily explainable, but his background sheds light on how he has developed this special talent.
In the Peters family, music is unavoidable.
Morganâs great-grandfather, Allan H. Nurse, was a pianist, composer and a producer at Decca Records. Morganâs father, Morgan J. Peters I, is a composer, playwright and a member of The GroovaLottos, the band Morgan is also a member of.
