Caused the accident . Reporter im told that maryland state trooper was making a routine traffic stop on i95 when he and the vehicle that he stopped in the shoulder were hit by a car. We do have a chopper video of sky 9 of this afternoons crash scene which caused quite a big back up on i95 near 32 in Howard County. Maryland state police say the trooper was walking to the vehicle that he pulled over in the southbound shoulder of 95 when another vehicle left its lane hitting the Police Cruiser and then the trooper and then the other car that he pulled over. Theres no word yet on what caused that driver to leave her lane or how fast she was going. It is i95. You know that vehicle s travel fast.
