Tough flu season in california just got worse. 9th death in the bay area is blamed on the flu. Latest case was reported today in Santa Clara County and we are learning new details about some of the victims. Patient who died in Sonoma County was just 23 years old. And had no Previous Health conditions. Fatal case life of woman in her fwloys had underlying medical conditions. This year people get the flu are younger to middle age and this was very consistent with what happened during the 2009 h1n1 pandemic. In fact its the same flu strain. Now its still not too late to get a flu shot this vaccine protects against the h1n1 strain.

Two deaths in alameda county, two in marin, and two in santa clara county, one death in San Fransisco and one each in contracosta and sonoma counties and one flu related fatality in san mateo county. As the death count rises we are learning new information about the victims. San mateo county says the woman who had the h1n1 strain of the flu, also known as the swine with flu, died. They say she had a im sorry, she did have an Underlying Health condition. In that county there are at least six people in the hospital with a strain of the flu. They say that there has been a 200 increase compared to last year of the number of people testing positive for the flu.
